The comment by @LeonardoEFA that "the Venezuelan opposition is divided and they always have been" really doesn't accord with the election results posted by the CNE. Edmundo Gónzalez captured the vast majority of the opposition votes, fifty times his closest rival.

@LeonardoEFA Juan González really pressed effectively on the differences between "Stop the Steal" protests in the USA and Venezuela, noting the absence of "actual results" published by precinct. This is key.

@LeonardoEFA Whatever the ideological alignments among Machado, Bolsanaro, Fujimori, Trump and the Bolivian right, the levels of evidence differ vastly across these contested elections.

As @AleVelascoNYU notes, only in Venezuela has the opposition produced a paper trail documenting their victory, one that despite his "he said, she said" framing, has been analyzed by at least one independent obverver, the @moecolombia. x.com/CarwilBJ/status/1820156280713220538

Electoral tally receipts (actas) in Venezuela are significantly annoying to fake, and if the opposition's documents were fake, it should be quite easy for Chavistas to come forward with countervailing evidence. x.com/CarwilBJ/status/1820198755104444673

The opposition in Venezuela contends that their votes were registered and counted in thousands of precincts, then ignored by the National Electoral Court. This is a verifiable, and falsifiable, assertion. Each day that it isn't refuted with receipts strengthens the case.
