Deadly political violence is not rare in the USA. If we are to refuse it, we must do so consistently, whether that violence targets Paul Pelosi, Steve Scalise, or Gabby Giffords; a synagogue, Black Church, or queer nightclub; a politician in the state or an activist against it.
