All signs indicate that Army Commander Juan José Zúñiga's attempted coup has failed in Bolivia. Zúñiga was personally present at the Plaza Murillo, the only reported site of military mobilization. The coup followed his dismissal from his command yesterday.

Very striking that the Army Commander felt this was a possible option (obviously b/c of 2019), but also very clear that he did not gather either military or civilian support for the coup he attempted today.
