  1. Allow me to suggest some tests for campus regulation of free speech: 1. If a form of protest is iconic enough to be remembered with a monument or postage stamp, it should not result in expulsion.

          4. Campuses are especially well adapted to prolonged protest camps, and these have a long lineage. Rules that ban them have gone astray from tradition.
