    In 2022, US aid was 16.8% of Israeli military spending. Taken as a single year, the extra war funding is 80% of typical annual military expenditures. If approved, the US would pay for 41% of all Israeli military expenses, and bear 75% of the additional cost of the war.

      Caveat: Presumably, Israel will appropriate further supplemental funds for the war in 2024, increasing its share of the costs.
