    1. Question for #AnthroTwitter: Have you read / do you engage w Barbara Ehrenreich? Arguably one of the noncredentialed Amer writers who engaged most w/ anthro themes. If she were an anthro prof, wouldn't we all assign her work all the time?

    Witches, Midwives, & Nurses is a foundational work on gender and medicine. Nickled & Dimed a daring labor ethnography. Blood Rites an attempted grand theory/history of war and emotion. Dancing in the Streets occupies a lane on collective joy marked out by the Turners.

      Reading the latter now and it's obvious how closely Ehrenreich read anthropologists. No reason save her title (journalist) why anthropologists shouldn't be equally aware of her work.
