      P.S. If you're thinking through places to house yourself on Mastodon, scholar.social has a lot going for it. Respect their rules, though. As someone echoing from my Twitter, it wasn't the right fit for me or my frequently traumatic research content.

    Specific scholar<dot>social rules: "No automated cross-posters from Twitter, RSS, etc. on Public privacy setting", content warnings for "off-topic" posts, no link shorteners, alt text is mandatory. Like I said, read the rules of your Mastodon instance.
