        Russian actions are indeed horrifying, but far from uniquely cruel. Domestic democracies, including the US, have carpet-bombed, coordinated mass torture, and filled mass graves.

    Conversely, Vietnam survived the US assault in part through massive military assistance from the Soviet Union and China, something the so-called "anti-imperialist" left denies is necessary for Ukraine.
