        @chadloder For legal reasons, normal unions can't go on political or general strikes but can mobilize their members or refuse to cross community pickets. Other groups can boycott work, with this as a large recent example: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_American_Boycott

      @chadloder Student walkouts are regularly organized and can accumulate, as after the Parkland shooting or during the Iraq War.

    @chadloder The largest prolonged student strike in US history in May 1970 attracted numerous older activists, wildcat strikes, and a truckers' blockade of Cleveland, among other actions.
