    @darkbladearts @pashulman I have two feelings about this… I want students to build on past research, but course papers are also meant to be exercises in incorporating the new knowledge and perspectives learned in class into written work.

      @darkbladearts @pashulman Students are much less likely to see this as cheating, so explicitly spelling it out, while offering the option to inform the instructor and talk it through are important. I generally align with this… mcgill.ca/students/srr/honest/students/test/ugrad/reusing-your-own-paper
