        @dave_m_ I'm boosted, but my booster won't prevent me from (1) getting infected, (2) infecting others. By the numbers the risk reduction against getting infected is greater for masking than vaccination (this has only been true since Omicron).

      @dave_m_ I care if the people around me are hospitalized or killed by COVID, regardless of whether they were boosted.

    @dave_m_ And many people around me are either ineligible for a booster (because kids) or inadequately protected by one (because immunocompromised). And everyone vaccinated under 12 is weakly protected right now.

      @dave_m_ Those who are boosted but in need of medical care suffer from overloading the hospitals. Those who are boosted but infected are still getting Long COVID. And suffering from long-term sequelae.
