The only total going the other way is deaths apart from the state, which were 1.2x higher during left government. Half of such deaths occurred under right and under left governments.

For this analysis, the UDP and MAS-IPSP comprise the left. The neoliberal period runs from Paz Estenssoro to Mesa. And Áñez and the two-day military interregnum in 2019 are the "Right Interim" government. Rodriguez (no deaths) is not categorized.
