Poland has historical memories of being invaded by the Soviet Union in 1939 and its 1980-81 uprising put down at their behest. The Baltics were annexed from 1944 to 1991. Czech, Slovak, and Hungarian peoples saw left uprisings quashed by Soviet tanks.Permalink On twitter.com
