      I say this optimistically. The last month has broken a spell of trust in the Biden administration, of belief the CDC is not influenced by politics. There are flashes of anger and collective actions.

    It was comforting to believe that we would coast our way out of this pandemic. But, since we didn't vaccinate the poorer half of the world, the virus had other plans. So must we.
