      Investigation of Golpe I has stalled with some of the main players stonewalling. Meanwhile the facts of Golpe II are largely public and form the basis of the new formal accusation.

        Both of these cases are charging Senator Áñez for her conduct, not President Áñez, since they refer to events before her inauguration. In theory, this would mean she can be indicted without approval from the legislature.
