      @oddNihilist Given the numbers involved, none of these tactics has a credible chance of victory in this conflict. Far better for each side to try to outlast their opponents, the modal strategy during 2006-09.

        @oddNihilist The civic movement strategies seems to be to escalate every sectoral conflict over some law into a nationwide strike over many laws plus a 2/3 supermajority for the plurinational legislature.

          @oddNihilist But there's no reason for the MAS-IPSP to ever give in on that larger demand. It invites a replay of the Constituent Assembly, where a 2/3 supermajority requirement paralyzed any progress for a whole year.
