        The drastic increase in deforestation in 2019, 2020 may be temporary. At 18.4 tCO2/person, it places Bolivia in the top 20 per capita emitters when energy and land use change are combined. (chart shows energy emissions only) globalcarbonatlas.org/en/CO2-emissions

              The largest single South American deforestation zone (2008-2014) was in Bolivia’s Santa Cruz department. Santa Cruz is the model for its northern, and more forested neighbor Beni. woborders.blog/2019/08/29/bolivia-deforestation/
