What political polarization looks like: Página Siete, newspaper of Bolivia's liberal opposition complains that a book fair has been "dirtied by politics" due to a banner denouncing Áñez and sharp words directed at Carlos Mesa. paginasiete.bo/cultura/2021/9/21/la-politica-ensucia-la-feria-del-libro-con-carteles-gritos-308805.html

Página Siete, basically: "Free expression is polluting this festival of literature!"
-
In an ironic layer of complexity, Bolivia has an enormous diversity of opinions and political tactics, but also much outrage over their use.
-
The liberal press, Página Siete included, situates itself as defenders of free speech but also has these anti-free speech notions of decorum.
-
Meanwhile, the MASista press will openly accuse any and all critics of being sell outs or anti-government conspirators.
-
But in a country where left and right protesters are known to burn buildings down at times, perhaps everyone could agree that a banner is not an outrage.
