One place where the #GIEIBolivia report is breaking news is the death of Limbert Guzmán Vásquez on November 6, 2019… @CarwilBJ/1330666767014879232
-
November 6 saw a prolonged street battle as three marches convened by the Bartolina Sisa women's federation challenged ongoing anti-Evo protests.
-
The GIEI records that the first injury of the day was the ealy morning beating of Alex Montenegro Marín, a government opponent, by MAS supporters in the Plazuela Busch. He suffered a broken finger, two broken ribs and head trauma. (p. 62)
-
As this crowd retreating from teargas, the Resistencia Juvenil Cochala, a right-wing motorcycle-mounted clash group, beat some of its members. Later they confronted buses w/ departing demonstrators, cut their tires, forced some out, and beat them publicly.
-
While this was happening east of the city, a 3,000 person pro-MAS march came from the west via Vinto. At the Huayculi bridge they faced off with an opposition blockade, police, and 300 RJC motorcyclists.
-
At least sixty were wounded. It was near Huayculi that two of the most serious injuries happened to Florentino Nina and Limbert Guzmán Vásquez.
-
Limbert Guzmán Vásquez, 20, was in cardiac arrest on arrival to Viedma hospital. Medical records state this was "consequent to aggression and/or the blast of explosive material near the head of the patient." He died that night.
-
There was no prosecutor's investigation of the assaults upon them.
