November 6 saw a prolonged street battle as three marches convened by the Bartolina Sisa women's federation challenged ongoing anti-Evo protests.

The GIEI records that the first injury of the day was the ealy morning beating of Alex Montenegro Marín, a government opponent, by MAS supporters in the Plazuela Busch. He suffered a broken finger, two broken ribs and head trauma. (p. 62)

The police mutiny was still a day in the future, but Cochabamba police had chosen sides against Evo and teargassed this crowd in downtown Cochabamba.

As this crowd retreating from teargas, the Resistencia Juvenil Cochala, a right-wing motorcycle-mounted clash group, beat some of its members. Later they confronted buses w/ departing demonstrators, cut their tires, forced some out, and beat them publicly.

While this was happening east of the city, a 3,000 person pro-MAS march came from the west via Vinto. At the Huayculi bridge they faced off with an opposition blockade, police, and 300 RJC motorcyclists.

While the police launched teargas, the RJC beat MASistas and stripped indigenous women of their outer clothes. A generalized melee ensued. (p. 64)

At least sixty were wounded. It was near Huayculi that two of the most serious injuries happened to Florentino Nina and Limbert Guzmán Vásquez.

The GIEI puts Nina's injury first. A pro-MAS marcher, he suffered a severe face wound from an explosive launched by the RJC. While included in the case file for Guzmán, his assault was never investigated by police.

Limbert Guzmán Vásquez, 20, was in cardiac arrest on arrival to Viedma hospital. Medical records state this was "consequent to aggression and/or the blast of explosive material near the head of the patient." He died that night.

The GIEI investigated the cause of death at length. Members of the RJC alleged that four MASistas, three men and one woman, were responsible. They captured the four, badly beat them, and turned them over to police. (p. 67)

However, only one RJC member ever testified to seeing them beat Guzmán. Others only described hearsay.

Meanwhile TV reporting on November 6 included a Viedma doctor describing severe injuries produced by an explosive, and a youth claiming to have witnessed Limbert Guzmán's failed launch of an explosive with a bazooka.

Two other witnesses, including the person who brought Guzmán to a clinic, gave the police and the GIEI slightly different accounts in which RJC explosives were responsible for Guzmán's injuries.

The forensic team reconsidered Guzmán's autopsy results and injuries and concluded that his wounds were consistent with a bazooka explosion rather than a fatal beating. The GIEI concluded that either Guzmán or someone nearby in the RJC caused Guzman's death.

The witness who claimed another RJC member had fired the explosive that inadvertantly injured Guzmán intervened to keep the RJC from having a public funeral that would denounce a supposed murder.

Astoundingly, there are no testimonies from the four captured individuals who the RJC blamed for the deaths. The report details how the men were beaten, stripped, had teeth broken, and needed urgent medical care when turned over to the police.

There was no prosecutor's investigation of the assaults upon them.
