          1. On February 10, 93% of Americans reported wearing masks in public, most or all of the time. States varied from 98% (DC,HI) to 74% (SD). We are capable of putting politics aside and prioritizing the health of those around us.

        Here's today's map. Far lower mask use after several months w/ low cases and ended mandates (except indoors in Hawaii). Notice the spontaneous remasking across the southeast, CA, DC.

      The second map shows that some people are capable of putting on masks in response to rising cases. The first map shows that most people will put on masks when there's both a mandate and a major wave of cases.

    We're overestimating the share of mask resisters across the country, and pretending that most people don't listen to public health advice. This data shows otherwise.
