        Ideologically, one does not have to treat a power as legitimate to work in temporary alliance with it. You should however stay vocal and remind others this is not a permanent solution.

          Long-term strategically, if you perceive yourself relying on odious centers of power, that's a reminder to build your own power (and means of coordination and communication) that are independent of it.
