@Animeorama It may be hard to read too much into the small scale features at the scale of grid blocks here. (The central Bangladesh dot appears on opposite sides of the trough when it is gridded or not gridded.)

@Animeorama My guess: the lack of samples immediately SW of Bangladesh make it cluster more closely w/ more distant locales in SE Asia. And/or, the typical migration pathways are up and down rivers rather than across river valleys.
