The precedent for this is a similar move against MAS opponent Ernesto Suárez in 2015.

The MAS claimed the move would violate its constitutional rights and the Electoral Tribunal today ruled it is incompetent to decide that matter, passing it off to the high court, the Plurinational Constitutional Tribunal

But in so doing, it said that the four leading parties—MAS, Creemos, Juntos, and Comunidad Ciudadana—all face similar complaints, and could all lose ballot access.

Let's hope that either these parties collectively or the Tribunal can choose to avoid total electoral chaos in the midst of a pandemic and under an unelected interim government.
