      It should go without saying that only a cross-party agreement can reschedule elections. But per this report, the anti-MAS coalition floated the possibility of bypassing the MAS-majority legislature to postpone elections by decree.

        There are real, practical concerns about preparing for elections under conditions of quarantine, much less voting itself. Bolivia's voting is in person, involves electoral workers and randomly chosen precinct jurors, who must be trained.

          Bolivia is already under interim rule since Evo Morales' ouster on November 10. Constitution envisions 90 days for new elections, and the existing schedule was already 132 days.
