@bretgustafson I'm getting there. Conade (the coalition of opposition parties that nominally led the election protests) is saying that the Plurinational Legislative Assembly should not have their terms extended past January 22, but Añez "must" stay president.

@bretgustafson What does this January 23 to April xx government look like? Just an executive and no legislature. Unless I'm missing something it only could operate by decree. And it would have a month or more before the election to do so.

@bretgustafson And because Áñez's expiration date is after the Legislative Assembly, she could argue they need a law to extend their terms (and even veto one), and then argue that she can use a decree to extend her own.
