The #BoliviaFires are dramatically outpacing the annual fire season, though perhaps not the disastrous year of 2010.

Fire danger remains "extreme" throughout Santa Cruz. "Rain is not forecasted until the peak season in November. Hydric stress, produced by high temperatures (30° C and above), less than 30% humidity and wind at more than 30 knots…"

Here's historical data that is directly comparable to the GWIS estimate of nearly 5M burned hectares as of September 11, 2019. 2019 is clearly above pace of all years but 2010 and perhaps 2004. gwis.jrc.ec.europa.eu/static/gwis_stats/gwis-estimates/BO
