        It's a highly dubious claim that there are 300 million, or 7 billion faces that are recognizably different by humans. Your face may not be a unique identifier.

            Any system that can reliably distinguish 300M individual Americans probably thinks you are a different person than who you were last year, or were in a different mood.

              As I noted for so-called gay facial recognition last year, the false positives are likely such a big problem for face recognition AI that they will swamp the dystopia possibilities.

                And that's assuming they can move beyond the stage of just being computerized racial/social profiling.
